About me, well, I guess you can say I’m the definition of a gearhead. When I was young cars was what I liked to play with. I’d have car shows and races all with Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars. I tried the sports route, played baseball for 6 years, basketball too. Neither of those sparked my interest as much as working on automobiles did. When I was old enough, my dad let me help out with doing the routine maintenance on the family’s cars. When I couldn’t help, I would watch all the time, and learn as much as I could. I did my first oil change at 9 years old, and I’ve been doing everything ever since. When it was time to get my first car, I didn’t really know I wanted, but I knew I always liked the fox body Mustangs. Ever since I was little, I always used to point them out to my dad while we were driving. So, the search began for my first car. The search wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be. After some research, I knew I wanted an 89-93, GT, 5 speed manual trans, any color other than white, relatively low miles, and STOCK. Finding one that met all these was very difficult to say the least. After test driving about 10 cars, and looking and looking I finally found one that was a great deal. It wasn’t a GT, but I couldn’t pass up on it. And that is the car I still drive to this day. I’ve had it 7 years now, and my obsession gets greater and greater the more I work on it and drive it. This car is what fueled my obsession, and it even has spread over to my dad. He was raised a GM fan, owning a few Corvettes, and a couple Oldsmobile 442’s, but, after seeing how much fun I was having with my Mustang, he needed one of his own. I guess you could say I’m a Ford guy, but I’ll work on anything. If it needs to make some more horsepower, I’ll enjoy every minute of working on it.
