Welcome to AJS Racing!!

AJS Racing was started in 2007. We are not a shop, (yet), but this site will be a way for us to not only show what we work on, but to keep track of all our projects. It will be updated as time allows with all future and current projects that are in the works.

Our main project car/test mule is the 90 Mustang LX 5.0L. Most of the work is performed on this car and its routinely tested at the drag strip.  Best time to date is a 12.82 @ 112 MPH. The car is being built not only for drag racing, but also to be shown in car shows in the area. It has a won a few trophies along the way, including Best 79-93 Mustang at the NMRA World Finals in Bowling Green, KY in 2007, and a few other trophies from local car shows in Hampton Roads.

One of our other cars is a 2005 Roush Mustang GT “Sport”. This is a performance/show car. It has only 13,000 miles, and has never seen a drop of rain. This car has won numerous trophies for best in show, and dealers choice.

Our workhorse, dubbed “Smokey”, is our tow vehicle. It’s a 2004 F250 SuperDuty. Its the 6.0L Powerstroke Diesel, and it hauls all our toys just fine. And yes. It has been modded as well.

The 2004 Mustang V6 is the daily driver of our webmaster. And since she’s part of the AJS Racing team, her car must be modded just like the rest of the fleet.

Now from looking at our projects, you’d think we are only a Ford shop. Not true. We work on anything. If more horsepower, better handling, or just plain better appearance is wanted, AJS Racing can take care of it. Imports, Domestics, you name it we work on it.
